Pre-Halloween Black Kitty

This furendly fellow with unusually small ears rubbed up against my legs as he rustled through autumn leaves. Isn't he cute? His neighbor said he lives in a house, but he was wearing no collar. Hmm...

He walked away and began strutting down the sidewalk in the opposite direction. I wanted to take a picture, so I meowed. He turned right back around and stopped in front of me. What a wonderful guy.

The Best Time Is Now

Sashim O. Witz at the poker table.

I've run this blog for 3-1/2 years. I know Thursday nights are not peak blog-traffic nights. Tonight, I'm unapologetically off point.

My feline friend, Sashim, knows it's better to do unpopular things at unpopular times if that's your truth. Now is better than search-engine optimized later. Good night.

Bad Cat

I bought the "Bad Cat" desk calendar as a Christmas gift for my brother. It's based on a book. I liked the box so much, I kept it on my nightstand. Yes. This is what thrills me.

Zanzanas: Gato Negro

Vintage postcards in a book store inside Grand Central Terminal. What are zanzanas? I'm not finding good results through Google.

Brad and the Bamboo

Two years after Brad covertly munched on the leaves of my bamboo plant in the middle of the night, it has flourished.

Cats are obligate carnivores, but they like to eat plants to help move hair balls along in their system.

He was a pain, but I loved him.
