Vanity Gets the Best of Us

Perhaps the reason I photograph is because I enjoy capturing and marveling at beauty, freezing it in time.

Here are some interesting photos I took looking at a mirror. The mirror came out of a jewelry box my grandfather gave me on a 1994 trip to Orlando, Fla., and I often hold it in front of a window to ensure my makeup looks OK in daylight.

Now, before you start with me, I never said I was beautiful; I readily admit to vanity, though. I can't always keep my eyes open or my hands still (I'm operating a heavy camera with one hand), hence the interesting compositions.
