Gabbing on the Phone
We're at the nursing home. I notice my mom's hair -- curving, shining, lush -- and I find her attractive in that moment.
If I was a man, I'd be interested. If I wasn't so superficial, I'd be a better person.

There's a difference between appreciating beauty and being superficial :)
You're right. I was commenting on my character without connecting the dots for viewers. :)
